Dark, rich and wonderfully smooth, Jarrah is the honey Western Australians are proudest of. It comes from a tree that grows nowhere else in the world, and every jar we pack is lab-tested so you know exactly what you're getting.
A Honey Found Only in WA

Jarrah honey comes from the flowers of the Jarrah tree (Eucalyptus marginata), which grows only in the forests of the South West of Western Australia. The trees are slow to flower, often only every couple of years, so a good Jarrah season is something beekeepers wait for. That's what makes this honey so special.

What Does Jarrah Honey Taste Like?

Think deep amber colour, a malty richness and a smooth caramel finish. It's bold enough to stand out on a cheese board, yet easy enough to enjoy straight off the spoon.

Lovely with: a morning spoonful, warm toast, porridge, a cheese board, or a cup of tea when you finally get to sit down.

Why Doesn't Jarrah Honey Crystallise?

Most honey turns thick and grainy over time. Jarrah is naturally low in glucose, so it is very slow to crystallise and stays silky and runny in the jar for a long, long time. No setting, no scraping, just smooth golden honey every time you open the lid.

What Does TA Mean on Jarrah Honey?

TA stands for Total Activity. It's the lab-tested rating used for Western Australian honeys like Jarrah and Marri, and the number on the label (for example 30+ TA or 35+ TA) tells you the tested level for that batch. Every Honey in the Garden batch is independently tested, and you can look up your jar's batch with our Batch Finder.

Jarrah or Manuka?

We're often asked how Jarrah compares with Manuka. Both are treasured, lab-rated honeys; they simply come from different trees and places, and use different rating systems (TA for Jarrah, MGO or UMF for Manuka). If you love Manuka, Jarrah is a beautiful Western Australian honey to try next.

A Gift from the Only Place in the World It Grows

Because Jarrah trees grow only in Western Australia's South West, a jar of Jarrah honey is a gift that truly can't be found anywhere else. It's a lovely way to share a taste of WA with family interstate or overseas, thank a client, or bring something special to the next catch-up.
